Emina is a poet, playwright and performer based in Naarm. She graduated with a degree in acting and performance-making at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2014 and Honours in Independent Theatre Practice in 2017, researching artistic synesthesia, tactile poetics and feminine writing..
As a writer and producer of her own content, her work ranges from spoken word features at open-mic events and conscious wellbeing festivals, to co-created artistry with music producers and embodiment practitioners. For her, art is a channel for ritual and romancing with life. A conscious and intimate way to move between earthy and ethereal landscapes. In her writing, she celebrates the sensuous truths that touch her heart and soul. Her words invite in a perspective that favours beauty, love and aspiration. Her poetic style weaves together journeys of spirituality, synchronicity and sacred relationships..
Emina acknowledges with gratitude that she is living, learning and working on the sacred unceded lands of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Eastern Kulin Nation. She offers her deepest respects to all Traditional Custodians, Elders and communities of First Nations and Torres Strait Islander peoples, past, present and emerging. This land always was and always will be Aboriginal land. She thanks this land for its healing power and protection.
